Mercedes-Benz entered DTM touring car championship racing in the 1980’s and as a result, a select number of highly collectable and extremely rare road going versions were produced to meet homologation minimum build number requirements.
 
Pre-dating the AMG cars, the combined efforts of Mercedes and Cosworth saw Aryton Senna drive the race version of this 190E Cosworth to victory at Nurburgring in 1984. The 190E Cosworth went on to many other race wins battling against fierce competition from the likes of the BMW E30 M3 and Audi Quattro. Establishing itself as a true legend in motor sport history.
 
This 1987 version has been know to us by a devoted Mercedes-Benz purist, enthusiast and M.B club member. Long term ownership of 16 years, this Cosworth is an absolute credit to the previous owner. An impressive history file with all receipts dating back over 23 years is included along with an original sales brochure, owners manual, full workshop manual, tool kit including original jacking instructions, both keys, unused spare tyre and first aid kit.
 
This factory delivered RHD Cosworth is finished in smoke silver metallic over anthracite black Recaro leather. Fitted with the spectacular EVO 2 Atiwe steering wheel, rear head rests, power sunroof, A/C, Power steering, power locking, factory rear hydraulic suspension and distinctive Mercedes ground effects kit, wheel flairs and spoilers.
